Brazilian, Graduated in philosophy at the University of Sa\u0303o Paulo, Lui\u0301sa No\u0301brega (1984) is an artist who explores the boundaries between different artistic disciplines, blurring the lines between performance, video, literature and sound.\u00a0Since 2012 she does not have a fixed home, and lives temporarily both in artistic residencies and hosted with friends in different parts of \u00a0Brazil and abroad. In the last four years, she developed projects in Mexico, Guatemala, Iceland, Poland, Armenia, Ukraine and Lithuania and took part of exhibitions such as\u00a0Projeto Parede, <\/em>Museum of Modern Art, S\u00e3o Paulo, Brasil, Turborealism, breaking ground<\/em>, Donetsk, Ukraine and\u00a0City as Process<\/em>, Ekaterinburg, Russia. With her vocal experiments, she collaborated with a collective of contemporary electronic musicians, Al Reves (www.alreves.org<\/u>), with whom in 2006 she recorded the album\u00a0menagerie<\/em>. She is also a writer and is currently editing I wanna be my werewolf<\/em>, an anthology of poems.<\/span><\/p>\n \/\/<\/span> \/\/<\/span>
\nIn a multidisciplinary practice including action, moving image, sound and text, I attempt to investigate the voices that emerge from the friction zones in between body and language, biology and culture, voice and identity. I am interested in historical and literary linkages, acts of reading\u00a0and writing, intersections of voice\u00a0and temporality and situations of linguistic collapse. I’ve been investigating limits of communication, extrasense and religious trance, trying to come closer to ambiguous zones in the outskirts of language, which usually only appears in situations in which we moan, scream or become voiceless.<\/span><\/p>\n
