Thiago Ruiz lives and works in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil). I’m looking for different ways to work with sound in the contemporary art context, making researches in the field of history of sound art, building DIY apparatuses, sound pieces, installations, mixed media, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n \/\/<\/span>
\n I consider sound as expressive medium capable of marking specific spatial issues. For me, either by man-made action or natural phenomena, sound has the power of marking physical, social or psychological places. I’ve different ways to deal with sound (or its idea) in my works wich reverberate in installation works, objects, site-specific, sound pieces and mixed media.\u00a0I seek through these connections to understand the current sound spectrum in the art and what are the roles played by sound as a poetic element.<\/span><\/p>\n
